VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION
STATE OF THE PADDLE (PRE-PADDLE INFO)
All tour shuttles depart and arrive at the Alpena Marina with parking available at no cost. All tours are scheduled weather permitting, and if wind or extreme weather conditions are too severe, tours may be cancelled and rainchecks provided for a tour at a later time or day when tours are restarted.
Tour customers are encouraged to wear shorts or below the knee length pants. River shoes, crocs, water sandals or bare feet are required for the tour. It is important to understand that the wearther conditions may make the viewing a bit more challenging since waves and wind can cause your kayak to drift and you will need to position your craft to stay over the wreck for the best viewing opportunity. If conditions are to extreme for a pleasant experience, we will not operate the tour and will allow you to book at another time that works for you.
Green Planet Extreme Adventures is not responsible for lost or damaged electronics, clothing or gear during the tour. Pictures and videotaping are encouraged, but precautions should be taken to make sure that your equipment makes it through safe and sound. Minimizing water in the air kayak is important, so that is why we recommend short pants and water shoes or even going barefoot once you are at the departure point. Small towels will be provided to swab up the drops of water that will sneak in even when these precautions are taken. We want you to enjoy your tour, so we recommend that you attach your electronic devices to yourself by a strap.
We are confident that your tour will be something to remember, but we want it to be a good memory, so follow our advice and be happy!
