GRAPES OF PATHTM ADVENTURES

Picture
WARREN DUNES TO TABOR HILL & ROUND BARN WINERIES

MINI ADVENTURE

Begin with your road or crossover bike at Warren Dunes State Park and leisurely ride through the rolling hills and sandy farmland until you arrive at the Round Barn Winery and Distillery.  Taste some samples of their wine and browse the shop to take some home.  Hop (carefully) on your bike again and ride less than ½ mile to the Tabor Hill Winery and Restaurant.  Take a tour of the wine making facilities, the vineyard and the wine tasting is sure to be a hit.  Eat dinner in the fine restaurant overlooking the rolling vineyards.  (Total bike ride 15 miles)

MAIN ADVENTURE
Begin with your road bike adventure at Warren Dunes State Park and ride to downtown Buchanan, Michigan for a visit to their fine arts district and sweet shop.  Browse their fresh local farmers market and make your purchases without worry.  We will pick up your produce and keep it for you until your adventure is completed.  Ride along Redbud Trail which follows the Saint Joseph River until you get to downtown Berrien Springs.  Visit a small fabric store that serves great designers in California.  Continue your bike ride to the Round Barn and Tabor Hill Wineries and sample their drink and food before you load your bike for the return to Warren Dunes and enjoy your local produce and wines from the region. (Total bike ride 40 miles)

LEELANAU PENNINSULA WINERY TOURS
CHATEAU GRAND TRAVERSE
LEELANAU CELLARS
Mountain Biking at the VASA single track trail and kayak the Boardman River.  Road biking in the area is also exceptional as the bay peninsulas provide great scenery of the East and West  bays along with vineyards and orchards.  “Great Lake Kayak” the bays or even out the small island which can be seen from the town for an overnight camping adventure.  Great Lake Kayaking is simply using top of the line ocean kayaks which can seat one or two.  Shoreline beach to beach kayaking is also offered in conjunction with winery tours.  You also have the option to complete your adventure, whatever they may be and take a bus tour of the wineries and eat at one of the fine restaurants nearby if that is more to your liking.  Different skill levels are fine since we offer instruction and guide services for adventures.  The skill and endurance levels are determined before your adventure so that your experience will be enjoyable.

Hard adventures are in place for those who are fitness oriented and have a training routine to keep in top shape.  If you are training for the purpose of competitions in triathalons, marathons, bike and mountain bike endurance races, adventure races or any other challenging sports, we have adventures for you.  Whether you would like to cross train or just maintain your training while enjoying a holiday break or vacation, we can customize your adventure.  We can provide top notch guides and trainers to challenge you if that is your desire.  If you would like to challenge yourself with some cross training activities such as rock climbing or dune hiking and climbing mixed in with other adventures we can also put together a custom adventure to your liking.

CUSTOMER COMMENTS

"The Green Planet guide was wonderful and our tour was breathtaking. Our guide Dan was great and the view of Arch Rock from the water along with having 2 splendid hours on the water made this the most memorable part of our vacation! The water was so clear and we were able to swim and snorkel right off of the inflatable kayaks. We will definitely be back and have already shared with our friends about our great water adventure on Mackinac Island.  We love Green Planet Extreme!"

"We are active adventurers and our time in Michigan with Green Planet Extreme Adventures has become our favorite experience. We were blown away by the beauty of Michigan and the rich history of shipping and shipwrecks. The water was beautiful and clear and the snorkeling over the shipwrecks amazing. Our professional guide (Kevin) from green planet made us feel welcomed and made our son and daughter (8 & 12) feel important and respected. He provided us with an amazing amount of information. He also gave us free time on the water to explore and chill out. What a great trip! We highly recommend Green Planet Extreme Adventures!"

"Our day tour was something that we will remember for quite some time! We have taken day excursions in Mexico and our Green Planet Extreme Adventures day tour rivals any that we have been on, and may be even better!  We purchased a small picture package for $20 to have 12 HD photos emailed to us within 24 hours of our tour. Imagine our surprise when we received 32 HD pictures and a 2 minute underwater video of one of the shipwrecks! If you have ever been on a tour, picture packages can be expensive and cost over $100 or even $300. Green Planet Extreme Adventures....you rock!"

"Coming from California, we are experienced in outdoor excursions, including shoreline adventures and riding on trails. We were impressed with Green Planet Extreme Adventures custom adventure options. Our 2 day adventure with them was awesome! We paddled the Thunder Bay river and rode bikes on the Northeast Michigan bike trail. Green Planet set us up with some great food from the Fresh Palate. Our camp was set up when we were done with the day's activities and we had some fresh fish grilled over the campfire. What a great time! Hats off to Green Planet Extreme Adventures!"
